The Javanese puppet had an important role in spreading Islam in Java as it was used to tell an Islamic tale or a tale with Islamic moral value in it to the Javanese people back then so that the religious preach was not realised by them. It felt more like listening to stories for them. Such smart and unique method was applied by Sunan Kalijaga. It was truly effective way as Islam grew and developed quickly in Java.
